Spyware Quake Removal Steps

SpywareQuake looks like a legitimate application for removal of spyware, but it's installed by a trojan in an attempt to trick you into buying it. SpywareQuake will also pop-up fake alerts that resemble system alerts in another attempt to get you to buy it. Do not buy SpywareQuake. Remove it.

                                      Registry Crawler                           

Download the Above mentioned programs.

Go to your desktop and double click on the FixSQ.reg file that you downloaded earlier. When it asks if you would like to merge the information, press the Yes button and then the OK button.

Next, please reboot your computer into SafeMode

Click on Start > Control Panel > Double-click on the Add or Remove Programs icon.

Find the entry for SpywareQuake and double-click on it. Follow the prompts to uninstall the program, but do not allow it to reboot the computer if it asks.

Delete the following files and folders (Do not be concerned if this folder does not exist):

C:\Windows\System32\stickrep.dll.bad
 C:\WINDOWS\System32\nvctrl.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\dfrgsrv.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\mssearchnet.exe
C:\Program Files\SpywareQuake\

Close all Windows

Open the smitRem folder, then double click the RunThis.bat file to start the tool. Follow the prompts on screen.

Next go to Control Panel click Display > Desktop > Customize Desktop > Web > Uncheck "Security Info" if present.

Delete registry values:

Finally RUN a SPYSWEEPER SCAN after updating the definitions. Remove the left over spyware infections if any.
